House Of Kerry

Christine O’Donoghue de Vries is an artist and an award winning sustainable focused fashion designer based in Co. Kerry, Ireland. She is also a farmer. As a farmer Christine works in harmony with the landscape and by virtue of this she sees at first hand the devastating impact of climate change on our doorstep, it is here in fact. House of Kerry is inspired by an old farmhouse in Muckross, Killarney Co. Kerry in which her grandparents and great-grandparents lived before her.

House of Kerry has at its very essence sustainability in traditional farmhouse style -Christine’s grandmother in particular has influenced her.

Her fine art photography and watercolour painting designs are influenced then by the breathtaking natural scenery of Co. Kerry outside the windows of the house and Co. Kerry and reminders of things gone by. Christine decided to preserve the house rather than build anew.

She won the prestigious HI Style Fashion Designer of the Year Award in 2018 as well as the coveted Fashion Designer of the Year Award 2019 at the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
